No group of businesses faces a more complex data-compliance puzzle than FDI enterprises and multinational corporations operating in markets with data-localization laws. On one hand, the host country's cybersecurity and data-localization rules require local user data to be stored in-country. On the other, the parent company's security policy — often built around GDPR or an equivalent standard — imposes strict limits on cross-border data transfer. Choosing an ordinary Cloud AI service almost certainly breaches at least one of these two requirements.
Two other challenges are often overlooked: protecting the group's globally shared intellectual property — from product designs to operating procedures — and the need for multilingual operation — local language and English — for a multinational workforce at the local office.
DABO's on-premise architecture resolves this conflict at its root: because the AI model runs entirely on infrastructure located in the host country, local user data never leaves the territory — satisfying the localization requirement. At the same time, because no data is ever sent to an external cloud server, the business also does not violate the parent company's cross-border transfer restrictions. A compliance assistant can look up internal and legal regulations in under a minute, fully multilingual, while all technical documents and customer information remain inside the controlled system.
This is one of the rare cases where a single technical choice — running AI on-site — satisfies two compliance requirements that would otherwise seem to be in direct conflict.
